German Trance-Events diese Woche in Berlin

Emerging from the Frankfurt and Berlin electronic scenes in the early 1990s, German trance is defined by its synthesis of hypnotic techno rhythms and emotive, melodic progressions. The genre typically utilizes hardware like the Roland TB-303 and TR-909, blending driving 4/4 beats with lush synthesizer pads and arpeggiated lead lines. Its tempo usually ranges between 130 and 150 BPM, creating an atmosphere that balances high-energy club momentum with a sense of euphoric, often melancholic, transcendence. As a pivotal evolution of acid house and techno, it laid the foundational aesthetic for the broader global trance movement and subsequently influenced the development of hard trance and progressive styles.
