Hardcore Punk-Events diese Woche in Berlin

Hardcore punk emerged in the late 1970s as a faster, more aggressive evolution of traditional punk rock, primarily rooted in the United States and the United Kingdom. Characterized by high-speed tempos often exceeding 180 BPM and short, explosive song structures, the genre utilizes distorted guitars, rapid-fire drumming, and shouted vocals. The mood is typically confrontational and politically charged, reflecting a DIY ethic that prioritized raw energy over commercial accessibility. Semantically, it serves as a bridge between classic punk and more extreme styles like thrash metal or grindcore, emphasizing a stripped-back, high-impact aesthetic that remains a cornerstone of underground alternative music.
