Progressive House-Events in Berlin

Progressive House originated in the United Kingdom during the early 1990s as a melodic evolution of house music that incorporated elements of techno and trance. The genre is defined by its gradual, atmospheric builds and complex layering of synthesizers, often featuring a steady 4/4 rhythm at a moderate tempo of 120 to 128 beats per minute. This style prioritizes a hypnotic and euphoric mood through the use of lush pads, soaring leads, and rhythmic delay effects, creating a bridge between underground club sounds and mainstream dance anthems. Unlike traditional house, it emphasizes structural progression and long-form transitions, making it a staple in long-set DJ performances across the global electronic dance music landscape.
