Rave-Events in Berlin

Emerging from the late 1980s underground club scenes in the United Kingdom and Europe, rave is a high-energy electronic dance music genre defined by its association with large-scale warehouse parties. The sound typically features rapid breakbeats, heavy sub-bass, and sampled vocal hooks, alongside synthetic stabs and acid-infused basslines played on hardware like the TB-303. Rhythms are generally fast-paced, ranging from 120 to 150 BPM, creating a frenetic and euphoric mood designed for sustained physical movement. Semantically, it bridges the gap between acid house and contemporary electronic styles like jungle and hardcore, serving as a foundational pillar for the global EDM movement through its emphasis on communal, psychedelic experiences.
