Rkt-Events in Berlin

RKT originated in the marginalized neighborhoods of Argentina during the early 2010s, evolving from the fusion of Cumbia Villera rhythms and Reggaeton urban aesthetics. The genre is characterized by a minimalist yet aggressive production style, often featuring heavy digital basslines, syncopated drum patterns, and distinctive synth-marimba melodies. Tempos typically range between 90 and 105 BPM, creating a gritty and high-energy atmosphere designed for club environments and street celebrations. As a semantic bridge between Latin urban music and traditional cumbia, RKT emphasizes a raw, localized identity while maintaining strong ties to broader global electronic dance music structures.
