Aor-Events heute Abend in Hamburg

AOR, or Album-Oriented Rock, emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s, primarily in North America, as a highly polished and radio-friendly evolution of hard rock and pop rock. Characterized by sophisticated arrangements, prominent keyboards (synthesizers, piano), powerful lead vocals, and often soaring guitar solos, it emphasized strong melodies and anthemic, catchy choruses. Tempos are typically mid-range, providing a driving yet accessible sound. The mood is often uplifting, romantic, or reflective, designed for broad appeal and stadium-sized audiences, bridging the gap between mainstream pop and harder rock.
