Jackin' House-Events in London

Jackin' house emerged from the 1980s Chicago house scene as a rhythm-focused evolution characterized by its heavy use of sampling and filtered disco loops. The genre is defined by a signature 'swing' or 'shuffle' applied to the standard four-on-the-floor kick drum, often utilizing Roland TR-909 percussion, vintage funk stabs, and soulful vocal snippets. Typically operating between 124 and 128 BPM, the sound is high-energy, infectious, and relentlessly groovy, emphasizing percussive syncopation over complex melodic structures. It serves as a bridge between traditional soulful house and more industrial Chicago sounds, maintaining a raw, underground aesthetic that prioritizes intense physical movement and hypnotic rhythmic repetition above all else.
