Noise Music-Events in London

Noise music is a genre characterized by the aesthetic use of sound that is traditionally considered unpleasant or non-musical, such as distortion, feedback, atonality, and cacophony. Originating from early 20th-century avant-garde movements like Futurism and Fluxus, it gained prominence in the late 20th century through industrial music and experimental electronic scenes. Instrumentation often includes synthesizers, effects pedals, contact microphones, found objects, and heavily processed vocals, creating dense, abrasive soundscapes. The mood is typically challenging, confrontational, and often dark, pushing the boundaries of musical perception and often existing in dialogue with other experimental and extreme genres.
