Art Rock-Events heute Abend in Madrid

Art rock emerged in the late 1960s within the United Kingdom and United States as a sophisticated fusion of rock music with avant-garde and classical influences. The genre typically employs a standard rock ensemble of guitars and drums, frequently augmented by synthesizers, orchestral sections, and unconventional studio techniques to create complex soundscapes. Characterized by cerebral themes and experimental structures, its tempo is often moderate, yet it frequently utilizes irregular time signatures and non-linear progressions to evoke a dramatic or intellectual mood. Positioned as a bridge between psychedelic rock and progressive rock, art rock prioritizes aesthetic innovation and formal experimentation over the repetitive structures of conventional pop-oriented rock music.
