Electric Blues-Events dieses Wochenende in Madrid

Emerging in the mid-20th century as African American migrants moved to urban centers like Chicago, electric blues evolved from acoustic Delta traditions by incorporating amplified instrumentation. This genre typically features the electric guitar as the primary melodic voice, supported by a rhythm section of bass, drums, and often harmonica or piano. The music is characterized by its use of the twelve-bar progression and a rhythmic shuffle, creating a mood that shifts from raw, soulful melancholy to high-energy, driving celebration. As a pivotal evolutionary link, it refined the structure of traditional blues while directly laying the sonic foundation for the emergence of rock and roll and modern rhythm and blues.
