Psytrance-Events in Madrid

Psychedelic trance, commonly known as psytrance, evolved from the Goa trance scene of the early 1990s, characterized by its hypnotic arrangements and complex synthetic textures. The genre typically features a driving 4/4 rhythm with a distinct rolling bassline and high-speed tempos ranging from 140 to 150 BPM. Instrumentation relies heavily on modular synthesizers, sequencers, and digital processing to create layered, alien-like soundscapes that evoke a sense of altered consciousness and tribal energy. Semantically positioned between techno and Goa trance, it emphasizes rhythmic precision and psychedelic auditory illusions, making it a staple of global outdoor festivals and underground warehouse raves while maintaining a distinctly non-commercial, ritualistic atmosphere.
