Rage Rap-Events in Madrid

Rage rap emerged in the early 2020s as a high-octane subgenre of trap, gaining prominence through the influence of Playboi Carti and producers associated with the Working on Dying collective. The sound is characterized by its reliance on distorted, overdriven 808 basslines and high-pitched synthesizer melodies that often utilize piercing, digital leads. These tracks typically maintain a fast tempo with aggressive, syncopated drum patterns designed to incite mosh pits, resulting in a chaotic and euphoric atmosphere. Semantically, it bridges the gap between traditional trap, cloud rap, and the abrasive textures of punk rap, while sharing a maximalist sonic palette with the hyperpop movement.
