Irish Singer Songwriter-Events in Paris

Irish singer-songwriter is a contemporary folk-adjacent genre rooted in the centuries-old oral traditions of Ireland, reaching modern prominence during the late 20th-century folk revival. The instrumentation typically centers on acoustic guitar or piano, occasionally incorporating traditional Celtic elements such as the fiddle or low whistle to enhance the melodic texture. Characterized by a moderate to slow tempo, the genre prioritizes lyrical storytelling and narrative clarity, resulting in an introspective, often melancholic mood that explores themes of heritage and personal reflection. It serves as a vital bridge between traditional Gaelic folk music and global indie-pop, maintaining a distinct cultural identity through its evocative, vocal-led compositions.
