Fourth World-Events diese Woche in Prag

Fourth World music emerged in the late 1970s through the visionary work of trumpeter Jon Hassell and producer Brian Eno, blending traditional ethnic styles with contemporary electronic textures. The genre typically employs a sophisticated mix of synthesizers, processed acoustic instruments, field recordings, and polyrhythmic percussion to create a distinct primitive-futuristic aesthetic. Its tempo is generally moderate to slow, characterized by fluid, atmospheric soundscapes that evoke a sense of mystical exploration and timelessness. Functioning as a bridge between experimental ambient and world fusion, the genre prioritizes timbral innovation and cross-cultural synthesis over conventional western melodic structures.
