Hip House-Events in Tallinn

Emerging in the late 1980s from the vibrant club scenes of Chicago and New York, hip house represents a seminal fusion of house music's four-on-the-floor rhythms and hip hop's lyrical delivery. The genre typically utilizes Roland drum machines and digital samplers to create high-energy tracks characterized by tempos ranging between 120 and 125 beats per minute. Its mood is inherently celebratory and kinetic, designed specifically for dance floor utility while bridging the gap between urban rap culture and underground electronic dance music. By blending rhythmic rapping with deep house basslines and soulful synth stabs, hip house laid the groundwork for the commercial crossover of both parent genres into the global pop mainstream.
