New French Touch-Events dieses Wochenende in Zurich

New French Touch, also known as the second wave of French House, emerged in the mid-to-late 2000s as a modern reimagining of the classic 1990s Parisian electronic scene. It utilizes a signature palette of heavily filtered samples, aggressive side-chain compression, and chunky synth basslines, often blending disco-inflected grooves with modern digital production techniques. Characterized by a steady 4/4 tempo typically ranging between 110 and 128 BPM, the genre fosters a vibrant, nostalgic mood that balances the organic warmth of funk with the clinical precision of electro-house. Acting as a bridge between vintage Nu-Disco and aggressive Electro, it emphasizes dancefloor accessibility through rhythmic syncopation, defining the aesthetic of influential labels like Ed Banger and Kitsuné.
