Piseiro-Events diese Woche in Zurich

Piseiro originated in the early 2010s within the semi-arid Sertão region of Northeastern Brazil as a streamlined, electronic evolution of traditional forró and vaquejada. The genre is defined by its reliance on a solo keyboardist who provides both the melodic accordion-style synthesizers and the characteristic quadradinha rhythmic patterns, often accompanied by simple, punchy percussion. Its tempo is typically upbeat and dance-oriented, creating a festive, high-energy atmosphere that emphasizes physical movement and communal celebration through catchy, repetitive hooks. Serving as a more accessible and commercially viable variant of its folk predecessors, piseiro effectively bridges the gap between regional rural traditions and modern urban pop sensibilities.
