Psychill-Events in Zurich

Emerging from the 1990s Goa trance scene, Psychill blends organic downtempo rhythms with intricate electronic textures to create an immersive and deeply hallucinogenic soundscape. It typically features a sophisticated fusion of digital synthesizers, reverberating ethnic instruments like tablas or sitars, and lush atmospheric pads, usually set to a relaxed tempo between 80 and 110 BPM. The mood is consistently introspective, mystical, and ethereal, serving as a restorative, low-energy counterpart to the high-intensity drive found in classic psytrance. Semantically situated as a bridge between ambient music and psychedelic trance, this genre emphasizes high sonic complexity and tribal aesthetics while maintaining a consistent, hypnotic groove for meditative or cerebral listening.
