I’m starting to think Cody may not be boyfriend material.

I’m starting to think Cody may not be boyfriend material.
What’s the gutter glam of noir look like when refracted through a modern queer sensibility? A beefcake antihero so haunted by his demons that he puts his own cock in chastity and freezes the keys in a block of ice. A twinkie homme fatale in a dog collar smoking meth off aluminum foil in an alley. A murder (that I wouldn’t dream of spoiling) that’s hilarious in its excess but still emotionally intense as a function of character. As with its lurid and trashy qualities, the genre’s cynicism also gets an update, depicting cops as either seriously compromised or irredeemably corrupt. Filmmaker Dean Francis shows no interest in making something retro or camp; this picture feels of-the-moment, even as it’s over-the-top, frequently hot, and enormously fun.
Very horny and sexy and all the rest of that stuff, but I’ll always, always, always be ACAB. Loses even more points for a cameo from a famous bully. Pretty sure the poster is AI-generated too. On the plus side, Tim Pocock is thicc now, and it’s nice to see he was very well manscaped and groomed.GAY MOVIE LIST
