I love a reinterpretation on a film that was maligned because of it's pedigree and the production house(Warner) wanting to put out a sequel. Even though this relies on a lot of talking heads(That are important to the narrative) I feel that David Kittredge portrays this narrative smartly and by the end you understand a lot the problems that Boorman endured, not just physically but emotionally in trying to develop this problematic film with all it's ups and downs, I have to say that I really enjoyed this documentary on this fallible film and all the forth coming earnest dialogue that felt truthful about those engaged on those who worked upon it. A lot of stones where overturned, it felt in making this rich documentary and yet by the end I have to say, it was a flawed film,,, I got a little weepy in finding out how they made this sausage. Honestly a remarkable film about a film that feels like it shouldn't be remarked upon. I feel like how many avenues of films that we have distain for that should get this much redemption.Hmm?
