this had been described to me as “what if A24 made a gay Big Daddy,” and… well, yeah, exactly. Turns out that’s a pretty great combination of things to be in the right hands! funny, understated, surprisingly moving, has an incredible björk t-shirt… overdelivers on all fronts. very, very strong debut.
