House of Dracula is a fun monster mashup that surprisingly isn't only alive to serve the purpose of spectacle involving all of the creatures. There is a through-line in the film involving Dr. Edelmann as he slowly transforms into the very thing he's trying to end. His descent into monster chaos carnage is so much fun to watch and they transform him into a scary killer. He is on the verge of finding a cure for all of these monster making causes, but he executes a blood transfusion with Dracula unknowingly making himself the count. Lon Chaney Jr. gets to play around again as the Wolf Man and he gets another sweet transformation scene. It's a B movie and it still has those amazing aspects that we all love from the originals. Shadowy imagery, fog, huge sets, monster mayhem, bats, transformations, electrocutions, creation, madness, death, and a fiery conclusion make this 67 minute film worth a watch if you're into these classic Universal Monster films.Also, this one has a LADY HUNCHBACK! There's a really great shot of a really pretty girl's face and then she gets up and the camera swings around to show her body and she is a female version of Igor with a pretty face!
