What I'm hearing is that somewhere in Bolivia there's a mountain whose lifestory is basically the same as Virginia Woolf's Orlando?(Great touch with the 17th century Felipe Ayala letters to the Catholic king :') )
Regie Jens Schanze

European greed makes me sick to my stomach. The historical texts sure explained the very obvious existence of colonialism but it failed to put more emphasis on what’s happening in the present. I’m sure the filmmakers thought they did something here. It was visually appealing so at least there’s that. It’s well made sure but then it’s very obvious that it’s made by a white person.
"You won't find European idealism anywhere else. We want to help developing countries. [...] If Europe does not want to mine its own lithium, then it's an opportunity for Bolivia to extract its raw materials. [...] Europeans prefer to have dirty industries out of sight." I think this pretty much summarises european hypocrisy. make a "green new deal" and in turn completely exploit the global south through green colonialism. dealing with climate change just acts as a political cover for sacrificing communities and landscapes for the sake of "protecting" the global north. I found this and this article very helpful to read on the subject!
