theatre of class and belonging. What truly captivates, however, is the lightness of touch, the episodic structure that, not by accident, recalls the films of Hong Sang-soo.And a richly deserved word of praise for its honest yet magical perspective on the East in Germany — one that gifts it new myths, and with them a sense of home beyond the reactionary currents that would seek to exploit the landscape for their own ends.
Turquoise stones shimmer alongside the dream of unlikely community in Julian Radlmaier’s capacious and beguiling film.
