Live in such a way that the movie of your life is overstuffed and too dense precisely because it also happens to be the history of four decades of documenting American capitalist imperialism. If storytelling has a healing power (I believe it does) and journalism is the highest calling of the storyteller (I believe it is) than Amy Goodman - who has stood in the midst of massacres, strolled into the offices of corporate murderers with damning evidence, and reported on the 9/11 emergency response from ground zero to such an extent that she still has a chronic cough to this day - is among the very best of us.Perhaps this movie could be accused of preaching to the choir, but we need a record of Goodman’s achievements, if this movie is the way future generations remember her and are inspired to follow in her footsteps, then this documentary will have been indispensable. And remember kids, Katie Couric has never been face planted and cuffed by American police in riot gear. If that’s not happened to you, are you even a journalist?“We have a decision to make every hour of every day, and that is whether to represent the sword or the shield.” - Amy Goodman
