DO YOU THINK THE GUY SHE WISHED OUT OF EXISTENCE EVER CAME BACK?? THEY NEVER ADDRESS THIS
the we like boys cheer scene was the straightest thing i have ever seen in my life i hate straight people
This movie is best known for one of the most ridiculous scenes of white people rapping ever put to film. Let's agree that that's amazing and get down to the serious shit.Teen Witch should have earned a place smack dab between Can't Buy Me Love and Teen Wolf, but instead it's got too much weird shit going on. Oddly, I don't really want to talk about the weird shit (except maybe to acknowledge that gross little fucker from River's Edge that plays her brother. He is so disgusting and I want to smother him with a pillow). It is a fairly capable teen movie with some adequate emotional beats. But the most impressive thing about it is the adherence to the pink & blue color scheme. It's insane. You could give a shit about this movie and would still have to respect the obsessive production design that went into it.Also, outside the rap song, the music is pretty great. The musical numbers come and go with no real logic, but the songs are good (and the dance at the end actually references Can't Buy Me Love, so that's cool). And it's got some moments that are actually funny. The whole "where are the chairs" bit makes me laugh every single time. And the condom chant is wonderfully bizarre. On a personal note, the first time I saw this was at the end of a night of heavy imbibing with some close friends circa 19-years-old. When Louise's "nerd" date showed up we howled about how much he looked like the typical Murder City Devils-loving hipster we were onslaught with at the time. And when he "lamely" offered her a joint, we laughed for an entirely different reason.
