Okay I knew of this films problematic nature as a film and really should never be exalted but it is kind of a fun 80's standard high school romp with a soundtrack that is dated but I did enjoy in parts. Barney Springboro(Scott Baio) comes off as a very muddled student who seems very science regimented but is also a bench warmer on the failing baseball team and when he gets his powers uses them for desire, anger, acceptance and eventually blind "naked" rage. This thing goes through all the standard formulas of the era and steals a lot of elements(winkingly) from famous movies so it never totally feels original and kinda creepy. So I say watch with that in mind but as a dumb movie, the wife and I were entertained... to a point so don't be shocked.
