1xN is a two-piece Coffeehouse Djent band based in Berlin, Germany. Wait, Coffeehouse what? Yes, you read correctly. From the heartwarming despair of their reinterpretation of Meshuggah's" Straws Pulled at Random", through the polyrhythmic madness of their jazzy "Do Not Look Down" arrangement, to the Steven-Wilson-esque melancholy of "Eating Hooks" - 1xN blurs the boundaries of everything you may have thought to be well-defined genres: acoustic and electric, metal and electronic, guitarist and drummer. Featuring multi-limb guitarist/foot drummer Sebastian Hoefer and lead guitarist Michael Sheridan, 1xN takes you on a journey of soulful fingerstyle guitar Djent re-arrangements. Their acoustic interpretations of Meshuggah's polyrhythmic riddles, played simultaneously on guitar and cajon by Sebastian, and further elevated by Michael's flickering leads, demonstrate unprecedented acoustic malleability and heaviness at the same time.
