The group's name 2NE1 means "New Evolution of 21st Century," as well as showing fresh and defiant music like 21-year-olds. Before they debuted, they were trained by their record label YG Entertainment - CL for 3 years, Bom for 4 years, Sandara Park for 2 years and Minzy for 5 years.<br>
