808 Delavega, born Etienne Maitre on August 30, 1984, is a producer who grew up in Geneva's lively and multicultural Jonction district, a hub for alternative music and culture in the early 2000s. He developed a deep love for hip-hop, reggae, and dancehall, which inspired him to found Derrick Sound with his brother Nicolas Maître. In the early days of his career, 808 Delavega discovered his passion for production, starting with the recording of exclusive dubplates and later experimenting with Lipka in collaboration with Vie D'Ange. In 2013, he co-founded Evidence Music label with Nicolas Maître and Nicolas Meury of Little Lion Sound. With Evidence Music, he has been involved in an impressive range of projects, contributing to production, arrangement, and mixing across various genres. He has collaborated with renowned artists such as Sizzla, Capleton, Morgan Heritage, Bugle, Beenie Man, Danitsa, Nation Boss, and many others.
