London-born, Aaliyah Jasz’s unique style evokes the nostalgia of soft soul, the poignant lyricism of folk and the smooth melodies of R&B. Her songs invite you to lose yourself in their sentiment; whether it be love, self-actualisation, heartbreak or mindfulness. Recorded in her bedroom, her debut release Inhale Exhale (2021) is a meditative experience of swooning harmonies and lullaby-esque piano melodies that gently invite you to stop and be present for just a moment. For The Love of It, her subsequent single, released February 2023, is a song that speaks to the joy of creativity being the force that compels her forward. The live recording of sound and visuals displays a 7-piece acoustic band and captures a dreamy, soulful pledge to revel in the magic within one self. She is an alumni of the artist development programme ‘Inside Track - In The Making’, created by Cassell the BeatMaker and in partnership with the Ivors Academy and PPL (2021-2022).
