"It's never easy when people put you in boxes and label you for something that seems to be legit for their perspective. My way of dealing with it is to embrace it and try to point out alternatives!". With his intentions of breaking down barriers and bringing joy to peoples lives while telling his own story, Germany-based R'n'B and Hip-Hop singer songwriter and newcomer ALAZAR began to make music. Born as a son of an Eritrean Mother and adopted at the age of 3 months he quickly learned to deal with being different, but it never stoped him. "Being black in an all white country doesn't seem like a threat to me, it's more like a chance." ALAZAR tries to take these differences into his music and turns them into something that is accessible for everybody. "I'm not looking for confirmation!" he says. "I want people to listen to my music and for that time forget about all the problems they have in their everyday lives". While doing that he doesn't stop at language barriers. Instead he embraces his strong english-music influence and unites it with the german language. Starting off with cover music during his High School Senior year and getting far over 100.00 views on SoundCloud he started writing his own music and playing the piano. It's a mix of banging beats from the new generation and the vibe of the older. Hereby he is influenced by artists through out generations and genres like Chris Brown, Sting, Eminem, Dire Straits, 6Lack, Bryson Tiller or the likes of Drake.
