Alper Tuzcu

Alper Tuzcu is a songwriter, guitarist, and producer based in Barcelona. His music blends Latin American rhythms, Mediterranean sounds, jazz, folk, and multilingual songwriting, moving between cultures and languages with a curiosity for geography, sound, and identity. A Berklee College of Music alumnus and former professor, Alper's music has been featured by NPR, BBC Radio, and RTVE, with collaborations including Maria Rodés, Marcelo Woloski (Snarky Puppy), Ganavya (Esperanza Spalding, Residente), and Javier Limón (Paco de Lucía, Wynton Marsalis, Buika),. His EP Raíz was named one of NPR's Top 10 EPs of the Year by Latin Alt HD3. He has performed at venues and festivals including Umbria Jazz Festival in Italy and Shapeshifter Lab in New York. In 2016, he became one of the youngest voting members of the GRAMMY Awards and Latin GRAMMYs. His music explores rhythm, language, memory, and place, where he creates intimate songs that feel both personal and borderless.
