Native New Yorker, saxophonist and composer Andrew Gould has established himself as one of the most in demand players on the NYC music scene. With 3 albums as a leader under his belt, including his most recent trio outing “Pull Up a Chair”, he continues to stay active as both a bandleader and sideman, performing regularly around NYC and the world. His playing has been featured on hundreds of recordings for various artists and labels, some of which have won or have been nominated for GRAMMY awards. He has played and/or recorded with James Moody, Wallace Roney, Ron Carter, Jon Faddis, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Mambo Legends Orchestra, the Scary Pockets, Mac Miller, Bobby Sanabria, Ray Angry, Fifth Harmony, the 8 Bit Big Band and many more. He’s been featured on the Today Show, the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, ABC News, MTV, PBS, HBO, and is currently in the orchestra for Just In Time on broadway. With degrees from both Manhattan School of Music and Purchase College, Andrew also remains active as a teacher. He has been teaching private saxophone lessons at the New School and in his own private studio, and has given masterclasses and clinics at colleges and festivals worldwide. Andrew endorses D'Addario woodwinds and Silverstein Works.
