Noted for her “deeply moving” performances and “lovely tone,” mezzo-soprano Anna Laurenzo has gained experience in a wide range of repertoire over her young career. Her recent performances included debuts with Lincoln Center Theater, Glacier Symphony, and returns to Chicago Opera Theater and the Metropolitan Opera Guild. Anna balances her love of the stage with that of song, with repertoire ranging from Rossini, Mozart and Berlioz to Amy Beach, Kurt Weill and Juliana Hall. Particularly recognized for her performance of new American operas, Ms. Laurenzo is a veteran of multiple world premiere productions including Intimate Apparel with Lincoln Center Theater, as well as JFK and Voir Dire with Fort Worth Opera. Additional performance credits include a Carnegie Hall debut, as well as appearances with Center for Contemporary Opera, LOFTrecital, Madison Opera, New York Theatre Ballet, American Lyric Theater, and the American Opera Society.
