Band was formed in 2011 in Cracow by guitarist Radosław Godzina and drummer Zbigniew Grabowski to create heavy and groovy death metal music, taking inspirations from classic 90' death metal bands. In 2015 they released their debut EP "Warped Reality", which opened them doors onto the local scene. However, due to lack of free time and personal obligations the band stopped rehearsing and working on new material. After few years of abscence Asperatus returned with new material and crew, including Bartosz Janczarski on drums, Piotr Tokarz on bass, Łukasz Ciepała on vocals and Jakub Owczarek on second guitar. Radosław remained as the leader, main songwriter and sole member of the original squad. In 2020 reformed band released EP titled "Sanctified State of Decay" and since then they actively participate in the local scene.
