Καλοδουλεμένος, underground καλλιτέχνης choral
A GRAMMY® nominated singer and composer from Michigan, USA, Blake’s talent spans the spheres of choral, jazz, folk, and pop music. Composing and arranging “imaginatively and beautifully” (Seen And Heard), his work has been performed all across the globe, from Sydney Opera House to the BBC Proms Festival, and he has received commissions from several of the world’s leading vocal groups such as The King’s Singers, Take 6, Chanticleer, VOCES8, Conspirare, and The Manhattan Transfer with their recent GRAMMY® nominated album “Fifty.” A lover of folk tunes, Blake also writes original music for his chamber-pop projects Goodnight Mr. Max and Esto, and collaborates frequently with artists such as Sid Sriram, Lambchop, and Bon Iver. Blake is an accomplished ensemble singer, and is the only musician to have been a member of both full-time choral ensembles in the United States, Cantus and Chanticleer. He currently sings and tours internationally with the full-time British chamber octet, VOCES8, the most streamed classical choral group in the world, and now resides in Scotland.
Blake Morgan creates intricate choral, chamber-pop, and vocal arrangements drawing on classical and folk traditions.
