Drawing inspiration from Balkan and Eastern European regions while based in Los Angeles, Blind Lizard catapults traditional world folk roots into another dimension with an experimental approach. Each song is a spell designed to restructure multi-generational trauma through dance as an expression of joy. Past unites with future in a whimsical world to get lost in for a moment in time. Led by accordionist Masha Mitkov (b. Odessa, Ukraine) the band features a diverse and eclectic group of players uniting to create a distinct sound. Their live shows are mixed with theatrics and performance art, where the crowd becomes just as much a part of the music, creating a multifaceted art or Gesamtkunstwerk.
