Blue Method

Blue Method is the project of Jan Madi Njock, a 24-year-old Swiss-Cameroonian artist based in Zurich. His sound sits where House, Deep House, and Black music's broader lineage meet, shaped by African musical heritage and Afro House pioneers like Black Coffee and Manoo on one side, and a deep study of Chicago House, Detroit Techno, and the Black American continuum on the other. Ron Trent, Kerri Chandler, DJ Mehdi, Jimpster, and Charles Webster are core references, a tradition to inhabit honestly rather than imitate. Summer 2026 brings Marble Hill, his self-released debut mini album. Named after the Bronx neighborhood where his story began, it's not about place but about the seduction of a dream chased hard enough to lose yourself in it. Blue grew up on a blueprint of discipline as worth and performance as love, basketball his gospel before music. Marble Hill is the reckoning that followed, carrying the duality he's always lived: melancholy under the groove, African heartbeat inside House's Black American lineage, two inheritances that refuse to cancel each other out. Ahead of the album, Blue Method appears on Sasse's Moodmusic with a remix of Muudu's Two-Room House (May 2026), and joins Freerange Records' 30th anniversary vinyl series alongside Atjazz, André Lodemann, and Manuel Tur (July 2026). From August, a sustained run of self-released singles follows, plus a Sondela single in autumn 2026.
