Born I is a Ghanaian-American hip-hop artist, author, and mindfulness teacher whose work bridges music, meditation, and radical self-compassion. Blending poetic lyricism with soulful minimalist production, his music explores healing, identity, love, grief, awakening, and what it means to be fully human. His acclaimed albums In This Moment, Amida and Komorebi have cultivated a global audience drawn to his contemplative approach to hip-hop, while his immersive “Hip-Hop Soundbath” performances merge live music, meditation, crystal singing bowls, and reflection into a singular experience.
