branqueeno’s musical style and commitment to the community are inspired by and rooted in the sonic and cultural origins of house music in Chicago and New York City. As a DJ, her selection has an old school flare with a modern twist. She plays a range of house and electronic, spanning classic, jackin’, deep, garage, acid, disco, tech, minimal, afro, latin, indie dance, progressive-tech, and breaks. A groove is guaranteed with a lot of vocals. Since 2023, she has produced events with a focus on elevating others, primarily women, that create opportunities for performance, mentorship, networking, and skill sharing and development. She founded the “You Are Important Project” and is the NYC event lead of the collective, Sisters in Sound, who was named one of the 2025 Beatport Diversity Fund grant winners. Committed to her musical development, she consistently seeks opportunities to refine her technical abilities on the decks and as a producer. Early in her years as a producer, branqueeno’s production style is shaping to be in alignment with her taste as a selector, full of 90s inspired sounds, groovy baselines, meaningful vocals (often her own), and heavy percussive elements aimed to evoke emotion, connection, and escape to listeners on the dance floor and beyond.
