Bull in China

The Bull In China project was founded in 2018 by Prague based producer Pavel Kučera and has since released a string of singles, including No Brainer, I Long 4 U, and Girl of the Sun. These tracks have been featured on international music blogs and enjoy airplay on Prague’s Expres FM and Radio 1, as well as on the Slovak alternative station Rádio_FM. After an initial phase focused on more house-oriented and largely instrumental tracks—such as Feeel, which received positive feedback from the influential French dance label Kitsuné Music—Bull In China shifted its sound toward indie-pop and nu-disco influences and began collaborating with Mikoláš Růžička (Republic of Two, Piano). In 2022, the project released its debut EP Mild, which, alongside No Brainer and I Long 4 U, also included a cover of Sade’s classic Nothing Can Come Between Us. In September 2025, Bull In China followed up with its full-length debut album Together, featuring guest vocals by Mikoláš Růžička and Slivka from the popular Slovak band Puding Pani Elvisovej. As Bull In China, Kučera has also created a number of remixes—for Czech electronic pioneers Ohm Square, Slovak indie-pop favorites Puding Pani Elvisovej, and singer-songwriter Anna Vaverková, among others. Prior to launching Bull In China, he released several original tracks and remixes—working, for instance, with Tata Bojs, The Prostitutes, and Kill The Dandies!—under the moniker The Fakes
