Cataract

Founded in 1998 in Zurich, CATARACT quickly transitioned from the hardcore scene to becoming a major force in metal. After their debut Golem (2000) and the arrival of singer Fedi in 2001, the band gained international momentum. They became the first Swiss band to sign with the legendary Metal Blade Records, releasing the acclaimed thrash milestone With Triumph Comes Loss (2004). Renowned for their relentless touring, CATARACT shared stages with icons like Slayer, Napalm Death, and Sepultura. Despite significant lineup changes in 2007, the band remained uncorrupted and musically uncompromising. With the addition of Tom Kuzmic and Nico Schläpfer, they broadened their sound with death and grind influences. Their latest powerhouse release, Killing The Eternal, was produced by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios, cementing their legacy of Swiss quality and aggression.
