This album chronicles a love story. Not a fleeting romance, but a slow-growing and profound relationship. It speaks of beginnings, middles and possible endings; but also of the love one must have for oneself. After all, isn't that where the quality of all relationships truly begins? For his sixth album, Charlie Winston returns to his natural element: bandleader. The interplay with his musicians is just as essential to the recording as his own artistry. Within this collective setting, his musicality, humour and emotion flow freely, with the band acting as an organic extension of himself.
