Ντόπιος, underground καλλιτέχνης jazz
A South-East Londoner, trombonist and composer Christ-Stéphane Boizi is quickly emerging as an exciting new voice on the UK jazz landscape. At just 22, he is an alumnus of Kinetika Bloco, a graduate of Trinity Laban, and a product of the famed Tomorrow's Warriors Development Programme. A recipient of the 2026 Peter Whittingham Jazz Development Award and a new signee to the Banger Factory Records imprint, Boizi has steadily built an impressive recording track record, working with artists including Amy Gadiaga, oreglo, Ezra Collective, Mark Kavuma and The Banger Factory. On stage, he has shared the bandstand with UK jazz luminaries such as Shabaka, Ruben Fox and Moses Boyd. With a sound that is deeply personal yet universally resonant, Christ-Stéphane Boizi represents the next generation of British jazz artists — grounded in tradition, guided by faith, and committed to pushing the music forward.
Christ-Stéphane Boizi plays contemporary UK jazz infused with hard bop and gospel influences, released via Banger Factory Records.
