Cistvaen

Cistvaen, the doom-laden atmospheric black metal band from South West England, are proud to present their debut full-length album to this darkened world, entitled "At Light’s Demise". Originating in rural Devon in 2017, the band draws thematic and lyrical inspiration from the bleak landscapes of Dartmoor, as well as branching out into topics such as mental health and depression. Melancholic melodies soar over tremolo picked riffs and blast beats whilst complex bass lines weave in and out of the compositions. Perfectly placed clean guitar passages add to the atmosphere and provide respite from the otherwise intense music. Low growls and harsh vocals are layered on top to further the sense of bleakness and desperation.
