Claire Chevallier

She has appeared regularly as soloist or chambriste in Cité de la Musique (Paris), Salle Pleyel, Opéra de Dijon et Bordeaux, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Utrecht, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci, Musikfestspiele Bremen, Salzburg Mozarteum… In Belgium, she has appeared at BOZAR and Kaaitheater (Brussels), Concertgebouw and MA Festival (Bruges), the Festival of Flanders Ghent, AMUZ and deSingel (Antwerp). Since 2004, she has taught fortepiano at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles. She served on juries of the International Fortepiano Competition (Bruges, 2007 & 2010), the Liszt Competition Utrecht (2014) and the 1st International Chopin competition on period instruments (Warsaw, 2018). Her solo recordings are dedicated to Satie (Zig-Zag Outhere, 2008), Liszt (Dolce Volta, HM 2011), Moussorgski (Cyprès Records, Outhere 2016) and Debussy (Piano Works Debussy, Rotkat Records 2020). In piano duo with Jos van Immerseel, she recorded ‘Pièces à deux pianos’ (Saint-Saëns, Poulenc, Franck, Infante), ‘Suites’ by Rachmaninoff, Schubert works for four hands in the box ‘Schubertiade’ (Alpha Outhere), and ‘Dvořák, Grieg & Brahms: Music for Piano Four Hands’ (Alpha). As a chamber musician, she recorded ‘Tchaikovsky: Piano Trio & Rococo Variations’ with Sergei Istomin (cello) and Martin Reimann (violin) (Passacaille Records). As a soloist, she also recorded the ‘Concerto pour la main gauche’ by Ravel and the ‘Concerto pour deux pianos’ by Poulenc with Anima Eterna orchestra.
