Underground, ανεβαστικός καλλιτέχνης death metal
Corpsing was formed in 2002, emerging from the same London Underground metal scene that gave the world Gorerotted and Akercocke. After his previous band Infestation disbanded, guitarist Giuseppe Cutispoto united his love for Florida-inspired fast and pummelling death metal with his brother Mick's varied interests in black metal, flamenco and fusion guitar playing styles. By 2005, Corpsing had a full line-up, was playing regular shows and released debut album "Watching the Thinker". After a further album released in 2007. After an almost 10-year hiatus, Corpsing returned in 2017 with new members in tow and released the rousing “Regnum” Ep and in 2020 “Civilisation Under Nefarious Tyrants" album. Corpsing emerged as a battered and bruised band after the collective onslaught wrought by the Covid pandemic. The rebuilding of the mind becomes the uniting theme of this new 4-song EP release. It explores those insidious thoughts of doubt and self-hate that come to haunt us from within, and the battles for survival taking place behind the shiny façade we exhibit to the outside world. Musically, it is chock full of neck-snapping riffs crafted and honed this time into more coherent songs. With a new and invigorated lineup, Corpsing lay down refined and syncopated beats and grooves, painted with a broad palette of voices. Finally, the band invited special guests Jason Mendonça (Akercocke) and Luc Lemay (Gorguts) to garnish it all with their unique talents and craft.
Corpsing plays extreme metal, primarily death metal, characterized by fast, pummelling riffs and intricate compositions, as heard on their album "Civilisation Under Nefarious Tyrants".
