Coven was a pioneering American psychedelic occult rock band formed in Chicago in the late 1960s. Led by vocalist Jinx Dawson, the band gained notoriety for their distinctive blend of psychedelic rock with dark, diabolical, and occult themes, most famously on their 1969 album 'Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls'. They are credited with being early pioneers of the occult rock genre.
