His immersive, rhythm-led vibrations take elements from hip-hop, electronic and jazz-funk culture, inspired by his worldwide travels as a sideman. Perhaps best known for his work as a session player for emerging artists like Yaya Bey, Katie Tupper and Brighter Days Family, Creature. (AKA Jim Cornelissen) cites Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist as influences, as well as footwork producer Machinedrum, Flying Lotus and Terrace Martin. His debut album: A Life in Bloom - shows a live, visual body of work; capturing his distinct fusion of fresh and eclectic genres - made ever more vibrant with the use of live sampling and transcendental effects. Straying from his usual studio production approach, a Life in Bloom captures the raw energy of his live band, which has achieved Spartan synergy after pushing his music at his monthly residency at the famous Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club for the last two years.
